    Description

THIS LISTING IS FOR A REPAIR SERVICE.
YOU ARE NOT BUYING AN ACTUAL PART.
YOU MUST SEND YOUR MODULE IN FOR REPAIR. CONTACT ME IF YOU NEED TO BUY AN ACTUAL MODULE.
    This listing is for the
    REBUILDING
of Bosch 5.3 ABS modules for the 1998-2001 Cadillac Catera. These modules commonly fail due to a factory defect. As a professional electrical engineer, I have identified the point of failure in these modules and developed a repair to both fix the problem and eliminate the failure mechanism. The primary failure is repaired, and an additional backup connection is installed to ensure operation should the original repair fail again. I stand behind my work 100% and take pride in delivering professional quality and service.
    The
    symptoms
of a failed module on a Catera may include some or all of the following:
    - ABS warning light lit
    - Traction control light lit
    - Inability to communicate with the ABS module with GM or Tec-II scan tools
    - Speedometer inoperative
    - Error codes
    P0500, U2108, P0705
    - Check Engine Light (CEL) lit
What's happening is that the ABS electronic control module is losing power due to a broken electrical connection(s). If the module is broken, these symptoms will usually occur intermittently and progressively: they will start out happening every once in a while and progress to the point where they are always happening. YOU DO NOT NEED TO REPLACE YOUR ENTIRE PUMP TO FIX THIS (The dealer will charge around 00)! All you have to do is remove the ABS electronic control module (EBTCM) and send it to me for repair. The EBTCM is not connected to the hydraulic lines of the brake system, so you can still drive your car while it is out for repair; you just won't have ABS functionality (which you don't anyway if your module is broken).

    HOW THIS WORKS
    :
Once you pay for the auction, you will need to send me your module for repair (I will send you detailed instructions after you purchase the service).
Make sure you package the module well (press duct tape against the bottom and wrap in bubble wrap).
I can send you detailed removal instructions if you need them, just let me know.
I will repair it within 24 hours
and send it back to you. Upon receiving it, you will re-install it and the ABS lights should go away. You may need to clear out all the old codes.

: I warranty my work for as long as you own the car. Any problems, just send it back!
Disclaimer: The buyer assumes all risks associated with removing, installing, and usage of a re-manufactured ABS module.
If your module looks like this, I can repair it!
